After 3 months of hard work, the 2014 NA62 pilot run was successfully
completed at 6am on Monday 15 December.
The kaon identification detector, which is a UK responsibility,
was the first detector to be ready and worked beautifully from day one.
The detector as a whole performed very well and after time for
commissioning, data were taken with a minimum bias trigger
and the first "physics" trigger, which will be analysed in the coming months.
